The End is Near

Wow- I really have to start keeping up with this thing. So much has happened- so much to tell! I can't believe we are only 8 school days away from the year being over- WOW! As the end draws nearer, I have to be honest and say that I am getting sad about leaving DHS. I've been there since I graduated college, and I have truly grown there in so many ways. I will definitely be taking it and many people in it with me in my heart. :)
All of our stuff was shipped yesterday. To quote my mom- "I guess there's no turning back now". It is an odd feeling to know that all of your things are on a boat somewhere in the middle of the ocean. Here's hoping that there isn't a shipwreck. We received our orientation information from ISKL and it looks like it is going to be a really fun 10 days with all of the new teachers. I'm still nervous about my job, but I've realized that I have to just jump in head first and do the best I can do.
My trip to Europe last week was a blast! I fell in love with Amsterdam which I never thought I would do. I am not a big Europe person, but Amsterdam was full of friendly people, beautiful scenery, and fun things to do (no- not those kinds of things). I hope to go back someday with Billy. Like I said before- the European adventure takes my "30 at 30" list up to 13 countries. And, thanks to the Swine Flu,I'll be adding one more country this summer! Our 5 day cruise that was originally supposed to be going to Mexico has now been changed by the cruise line to a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas (at no extra cost- thank you Swine Flu). So, add the Bahamas to my list and that brings me to 14- almost half way there- woot! :)
Well- I suppose that about it for now. Good stuff.......
