Let the Adventure Begin!

Well- we made it! There were a few times that we thought we wouldn't, but we did. The trip was.........exhausting! We were in airports or on a plane for almost 48 hours! By the 4th leg of our trip, we were pretty much just walking zombies (never knew they let zombies through security, did ya!) :) By the time we made it to the hotel (around 1:30pm), we were both just physically and mentally drained. I laid on the bed and immediately burst into tears from pure exhaustion and homesickness. I think it was at that point that it finally hit me- I was thousands of miles away from everything and everyone I knew- and I was scared. Billy did the great husband thing- reassuring me of all the great reasons we made this decision (basically everything I have been reassuring him of over the past few weeks). And, the next thing we knew, it was 2 am! Yup- we had planned to take a shower, go walk around the city, grab some dinner, and buy a few things- but no, our exhausted bodies were having none of that. We slept for almost 14 hours! We really needed it. So, today begins the real adventure- seeing the school, opening a bank account, and our house search. We have NO idea what to expect, but we are excited. Thanks to all of you for your prayers/thoughts, etc. as we were traveling. We are glad to be here safe and sound. And most importantly, we are glad to not have to get onto another airplane for quite some time! :)
